PKL encompasses various Islamic-based activities

18 April 2022 – Minister of Environment and Water (KASA), YB Dato’ Sri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the Mukim Pulau Gajah Sustainable Community Program is a pilot project resulting from collaboration between KASA agencies namely Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) with the Kelantan State Government through Kelantan Utilities Mubaarakan Holding Sdn Bhd (KUM). Chairman of the Agriculture, Agricultural-Based Industries, Biotechnology, Green Technology and Environment Committee, YB Tuan Mohd Saripudin Tuan Ismail said, PKL can be an alternative to community development towards sustainability where this program is a long-term initiative to develop communities in a planned manner. Also present were State Secretary, YB Dato’ Kaya Setia Nazran Muhammad, Deputy Secretary General (Environment) Ministry of Environment and Water, Noor Afifah Abdul Razak, Chief Executive Officer Malaysian Greentech Technology Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), Ts Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor and General Manager Kelantan Utilities Mubaarakan Holding Sdn Bhd (KUM), Dr. Mohd Roshdi Hassan.

This program also involves expert support from various parties such as Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Department of Agriculture Malaysia, Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, Kelantan Women’s Development Association (PPWK) and Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIK).
